My apartment was supposed to reglaze my tub. i had terrible rust and calcium build up around my tub by the water faucets and in the tub where faucet would drip…. It looked so bad I refused to fill the tub up to sit in a bath… Showers only. I tried EVERYTHING to get this tub clean and remove the calcium build up n i just couldnt. I rarely leave reviews unless its bad lol. This stuff right here though is absolutely amazing my tub looks NEW! I cant wait to take a bubble bath finally!!! HIGHLY recommend.

This is the medium to strong way to get the hard water calcium stains off. It works on hard to clean persistent stains in the shower, sink and toilet as well as on the faucets. I have not tried and would not recommend it on a stone countertops.

This product works better than any other of this type. Much better than CLR. You just have to be sure to rinse it off. No hard scrubbing needed.

It works as good or better than Calcium Lime Rust (CLR) or especially Limeaway and it is much cheaper. I’d suggest not diluting it 50% for rust removal on steel and only diluting for bathroom/general cleaning.

This stuff sucks. It does not even phase rust.

I used this on a toilet that had serious lime or calcium build up. I did not follow the directions because of my situation. I turned the water off and flushed the toilet. I then added ZEP to the water line and brushed it a little. In thirty minutes I came back and brushed it some more. The next time I came back I was surprised as I could not see through the water. I brushed it some more and turned the water on and flushed the toilet. WOW, it was almost gone. What was left was in the very bottom of the bowl where I could not see. I repeated it one more time, letting it sit after brushing it. When I came back I brushed the bottom of the bowl and the water turned color as the calcium or lime that had dissolved made the water murky. When I flushed the toilet for the last time, all that was left was the porcelain. I was impressed. CLR had never done this for me.

I have always had good lck with Zep products and read the reviews on this. Much cheaper than CLR and worked better. I applied it with a pump sprayer and then powerwashed after it sat for a little while. With my electric powerwasher it did not come off easily but did come up. It did not move at all with regular powerwashing concentrates..

I used this product on a 1954 home and the windows so bad you could barely see out of them. Used industrial strength bottle 50/50 mix Zep/Water, spray on , let set 1-5 minutes then use large sponge with favorite window cleaning solution (in a bucket) and lastly important to hose off. Why sponge? Ensure you get the loose calcium off. Squeegee off , keep clean towel handy. Good luck!

Works like a charm. Much cheaper than CLR

I thought this product would do a better job than Zep Tub & Shower for hard water spots. No way, did not remove any hard water spots at all. So I went back & bought the Zep Tub & Shower product, used as directed on my fiberglass tub & shower & you wouldn’t know there were ever any hard water spots at all. Tub & Shower is a great product. Leave the Lime & Calcium for other projects, I did not use this on any rust or lime build up area’s. All I know is it doesn’t work for tub & shower at all.

This product does a great job as directed. Removed green stains from my sidewalk that have accumulated over the years.
Did not dilate as much, as directions stated, since the mold was really bad This stuff is really strong.

Thought I would try this Zep product. Living in Las Cruces, New Mexico the water is full of minerals that discolor and collect on all plumbing fixtures, toilets and sinks, even with water softeners and water filters. This product is for light accumulation of rust and scale. In spite of it’s claims, the rust and/or scale laugh at it. It’s not “heavy duty” enough. Got heavy rust and scale? Use a pool type chemical. Have used Zep products for years and thanks to the EPA and OSHA, they aren’t a shadow of their former selves.

I haven’t used it recently; and forgot you carried this! Cheaper than the other brand; I was happy about that!

We had a wrought iron table and chairs on a pool deck that deteriorated quickly after repainting, and severely stained the deck with large rust stains, some deeper than the color of a copper penny. An area of appx. 6 x 6 feet, and we had just had the deck redone 2 years ago. It took some scrubbing and several applications, but about 95% of the stains were removed. The only areas that didn’t completely disappear where were the chair legs had all but rusted off, but those were considerably lighter after use. Highly recommended product. BTW, the table/chairs are now gone so it can’t happen again.

I was doubtful about this solution to be able to remove the years of burnt grease from the stove tops, that I used to try clean with scraping tools etc to no success. I used the full container with a bit of water and soaked the stove parts overnight. OMG! It was so easy to remove the burnt gunk off of the items just by using a sponge pad. Granted it needs to be redone since it was years of collected grease, to get it all off entirely. I would recommend putting the container outside or somewhere outside of your living zone, just in case there are fumes released.

I used this in one of our rental units on a long time not cleaned tub and toilet. Pretty nasty, sprayed it on waited half hour and re-sprayed. Waited about another half hour. Cleaned both with a toilet brush and both looked like new. Soap scum and iron deposits gone with little effort.

After spraying the surface and letting it sit for awhile and rinsing, then repeating the same step again I could see a big difference. After using it randomly a few more times the rust is completely gone.

It cleans good

ZEP Calcium, Lime and Rust Stain 128 fl oz Rust Remover really works! Been using it for years, since phosphoric acid was removed from the shelves.

This product was completely useless. I used it full strength with a scrub brush and it did not remove the rust stains on my concrete. They looked exactly the same. It was a waste of my time and money!

Works pretty good

Did not work as expected on removing buildup of calcium in toilet

Easy use, worked very well getting calcium buildup off and cleaning up rust

The directions call for a 50/50 mix with water, but if I use it just about full strength, I don’t have to scrub and rinse that much when I’m removing stains from the white plastic fence on my and my neighbor’s border. The rust stains appear from the lake water being used to water our lawns and after a while they get really ugly looking so I’m diligent at keeping them off the fence. If I don’t, they make my whole yard look bad! The Zep rust remover works very well and I’ll continue to use it!

My metal storage shed’s roof had many rust areas on it. The Zep sprayed on easily and a wire brush helped remove the loose rust so it could be washed off prior to priming and painting.

I used this on my kitchen, hall way , entryway, laundry room , and bath counters and floors by far the BEST product ever ! I will advertise this product and say I got it at forever . I used one bucket with 1/2 solution and 1/2 water with a scrub. Then I had a bucket with just water with a rag . All by hand and knees but totally worth every ache and pain. Even though not to much work Scrubbing it really works itself just let sit for 2 minutes. My husband thought I laid new tile . I have lived in this home for 11 years and I will tell you I used Clorox , Oxi 10 and multiple other items thru the years and never found something that gave me the result as ZEP. I love this product! I attached pictures look for yourself and I promise you it is not altered it is the true deal!
