I purchased this because I had neighbors move in that would constantly smoke inside their apartment. Second hand smoke began infesting ours. Kids started to chronically cough and I ended up with an inhaler despite having healthy lungs. We sprayed this when the smoke would come in but it would leave a horrendous chemical like smell. A strong Off mosquito spray that you could taste and get a headache from the fumes. It’s probably as harmful as other chemicals around your kids. I would say use sparingly while fixing the problem. And getting the health department involved. Landlords usually aren’t helpful.

Had a pig roll out of the fireplace I. The middle of the night. Screen caught it, but a couple days later the room still smelled like smoke. This stuff wiped it out after two applications, one in the evening and again the next morning.

After some food overcooked in the microwave the kitchen and house had a LOT of smoke. We used the ZEP product sparingly and opened windows and the smoke odor subsided. We used the ZEP spray several times over the next 2 or 3 days, each time sparingly, and the odor pretty much dissipated. I would recommend this product.

Didn’t really work. I had a rental apartment that a previous smoker had lived in. Everything was gutted and renovated and there was still a residual smell of smoke. This didn’t help. For a few minutes after spraying this you wouldn’t smell smoke but just this product. Within 20 minutes the smell would be back

Someone burned green wood in a nearby fire pit. Smoke came into apartment through HVAC (heat pump)
In 12 by 12 room, only needed 2 spritzes. Exit the room. At first, the odor is strong and distasteful. I waited a couple days, and there was a stale smoke smell, which I sort of expected. Did 2 more spritzes, and waited.
All is well. No lingering chemical or smoke smell. A week later, and the smoke smell has not returned.
It is very powerful. My “spritz” was no more than 2 seconds, if even that long.

As a non-smoker, I am very grossed-out by cigarette or other smoke smells, to the point I have been awoken from a deep sleep by stinky smoke smells. Unfortunately I live in an apartment, and the people that just moved in smoke everything known to man. The manager won’t do anything about enforcing the no-smoking rule, so I’ve been stuck smelling all this gosh-awful smoke. Until now!
I’m so happy I took a chance on Zep smoke odor eliminator, because it actually works. I had doubts, but after trying it, I am a believer. I hope Zep never discontinues this product. It removes the smoke smell and only leaves a very light, fresh, barely-detectable pine-ish smell behind. I think the light fragrance is great, because other products have really heavy fragrances that are sometimes just as stinky as the smoke smells. Anyhow, if you have a stinky smoke problem, get this.

My in laws have smoked in their home since they purchased it 15 years ago, we’re talking heavy smokers. It is time to sell and that was one of the first things the realtor told them was to shampoo the carpets and quit smoking in the house. It still smelled strongly of smoke even after the carpets were shampooed. I bought a couple cans of Zep Smoke Odor Eliminator and sprayed it throughout the house and on the furniture, it is like no one has smoked in the house. It is absolutely astonishing to me that it was able to neutralize the smoke odor.

I used the Zep smoke odor eliminator spray after some cigar smoking in my man cave. I don’t know that it was a quick elimination of the smoke odor, but after some time it seemed to make a difference. I used the spray again about 24 hours later. The room had noticeable less smoke odor and the spray itself smells kind of like furniture polish. So not really an improvement in the smell in the room, just different, but cleaner.

I bought this after buying a used car that smelled heavily of smoke. Most of the reviews I read were for houses. Thought I would give it a try. Didn’t work well in the car. I sprayed multiple times over multiple days and the car still smelled pretty bad. Went and got Odoban and that worked like a charm.

To remove odors, such as smoke with out a fragrance that chokes you…this is absolutely what you need to rid your home or buisness from the odor of smoke. Absolutely a long lasting freah frgrance and does exactly what youd excpect…dont sleep on this product!!

We use our home as short term vacation rental, we had a recent guest use the fire place and the chimney flue was closed. This caused a great deal of smoke to fill the house which left a terrible smoke smell for days. We knew we had to get rid of the smell before our next guest checked in and luckily I came across this product. It did exactly what it said it did. It got rid of the smell permanently (it didn’t just mask the smell) and it left the air smelling fresh. It was a life saver. I highly recommend it.

I have dogs and cook alot and it makes the house smell like garlic and onions etc which is not too pleasant for my nose to smell all the time. So i figured i would give this a try. My only issue with this product is that they were supposed to send me 12 of these bottles and i only got one and i wish i got 12 of these babys because it does the job and smells great. I even used it to make my car smell awesome after i detailed it.. I just sprayed it and shut the doors and windows up and cranked the heat with the inside air circulating for about 10 mins and then shut the car off. The next day and even a week later i turn on the heat and it smells great. I cant say enough good things about this product except i wish i got the 12 pack they were suppose to send me instead of just one. Great for gifts too. You should get yourself one and test it out yourself. i would keep one in each room great product.

My daughter accidently cooked instant mac without water and the entire house was filled with smoke. Went and got this spray shortly after opening all windows and doors and tossing the microwave and the smell is actually immediately gone after spraying the entire apartment.

I’m not to fond of this product!!!!!! The smell is not a fresh clean smell to me. I definitely prefer something with a cleaner smell. But I’m also not using it for smoke smell. So it might work for that.
