I used this to attempt to remove adhesive residue on plywood sub flooring left over from self adhesive peel and stick tile. I followed the directions carefully and when done the floor was still sticky from the adhesive left behind. Does not seem to work well for this application.

Removed outdoor carpet that had been glued to cement slab of lanai and old dried adhesive remained in many areas. Used this product per directions and it simply did not work. No way the chemicals in this particular brand are strong enough to remove caked adhesive. Went over same areas multiple times also applying boiling water as a rinse after allowing to set for a couple hours. Eventually used the entire bottle and got minimal results. Would not recommend.

After we removed the old 9” vinyl tiles we didn’t know how to remove the black mastic glue on the concrete. I decided to give the KleanStrip Glue Remover a try. We used a push broom to apply it on the floor. Let it sit for 2 hours. We poured hot soapy (Dawn detergent) water on the floor. Scrubbed the floor with a push broom. Mopped it then rinsed with hot clean water. We were able to get 99 percent of the glue out. The important key is using hot soapy water to dissolve the black glue residue on the floor. You won’t be disappointed if your goal is to remove the black mastic glue on the concrete.

I hesitated purchasing due to the price, but we really needed a good adhesive remover and this was the product the Lowe’s employee recommended. Following the product’s instructions we applied with a roller and let it sit for 1 1/2 hours. Scraped and cleaned up according to the directions. Was still sticky 🙁 We reread the instructions. Reapplied a thicker amount of remover, left on for 3 hours, scraped, cleaned up and the floor is still sticky with little improvement. Ugh. What a huge waste of time, muscle and money (that presently we don’t have). VERY disappointed and at a lost as to what our next steps should be to lay our new vinyl planks. Thanks for nothing.

I am amazed by this product! I read all of the reviews and then read the instructions. 16 year old outdoor carpet that was in the sun all of the time. I used a pressure washer to remove the carpet…but the adhesive was NOT going to give up.
I applied Klean Strip with a brush. I let it set for 30 minutes and tested….not ready. I left it for a total of an hour and 45 minutes. The adhesive nearly wiped off!
I cannot say enough good things about this product! Thanks again for a company still putting out a good product! Will purchase again, will recommend. What more can I say?
Buy it, follow the directions, and get your project done!

After many failed attempts to try and remove adhesive from the cement using other products, I came across this and it worked wonders. I let it sit for 3 hours, and it turned the adhesive into goo. Hands down the best adhesive remover. I will be purchasing this again to remove adhesives!

The KLEAN STRIP adhesive remover is a quality product. This product removed a thick gooey mess of glue that I had on a previous wood/glue down floor. I thought I’d never get this glue up. I scraped and heated for days. So glad this product is available. This remover has a low odor formula. It removed the glue with ease off of a concrete slab. It’s a great feeling to see something you’ve worked so hard on removed so much easier with this product.

While renovating my basement, the previous owners glued drywall straight to the cement wall. I was hoping this adhesive remover by Klean-Strip would get the job done… not only did it not work at all, but it made a mess everywhere while also leaving a nasty residue that had to be washed off! The direction requests you to leave application for 3hrs prior to removing any material, but this stuff not only stinks but had little to no affect at all!
I DO NOT recommend this product.

I use area rugs on our covered patio, and used the sticky rug grip tape to keep them in place. Unfortunately, over time the tape got dirty on top and lost it’s grip. It was a nightmare trying to pull the tapes back up off of my concrete flooring. What I managed to get up left a nasty sticky residue behind.
I decided to try Klean-Strip Adhesive Remover It’s made to remove adhesives, mastics and contact cement from surfaces.
I followed the label instructions carefully .
Keep in mind to not use on linoleum, plastic, rubber, asphalt tile, fiberglass, other synthetics, or painted surfaces.
I did a small test area in an inconspicuous area before using it on the entire project.
My concrete floor is not painted or stained, so I was pleased that it was able to be used on it.
It took some work, but it helped me remove all of the adhesive.
I’m happy that Klean-Strip Adhesive Remover worked for my project, although I’ve learned my lesson with carpet adhesives.

I made the mistake of looking at some bad reviews of this product and almost didn’t buy it. Took a shot and followed the directions and it worked as advertised. Turned the adhesive to goo which I wiped up with a paper towel then as directed cleaned floor with soapy water to get residue out. Would recommend to a friend!

I was skeptical in buying this product because of the negative reviews. It worked amazingly well in my basement. It took up carpet backing on top of 2 layers of decades old tile. The old glue over the original cement floor was as hard as a rock but with a little elbow grease and patience it did the job. Another reviewer said his product was like water but my bottle was an easy to spread gel. Maybe he didn’t shake well as instructions said to do? I dunno. I do know im on my way to buy more as the basement is about 600 sq ft and one bottle did about half of it. I recommend this product but every floor is different so I hope it works as well for you as it did for me.

got the job done without breaking out back removing adhesive from concrete floor

We’ve been looking for a good adhesive remover so we could tear up the linoleum tiles in our bathroom cuz they leave a really sticky film that’s almost impossible to get off. Well this did the trick making our floors clean to put down new tiles. The only thing I’d say I didn’t like was that it took like 3 hours to set so it can be a little time consuming but since it works so well it is definitely worth it.

Tried the product on old glue/adhesive, which was on a concrete slab, on my patio. There used to be a sunroom with carpet on the slab. Even after hours, the glue/adhesive did not come off. What took it off was a gas craftsman pressure washer/3300psi.

I recently removed old vinyl flooring in my grandmother’s home and the amount of stuck-on glue under it was unreal. I used this Klean Strip Adhesive Remover to help me get off all of the old glue residue that was left under the vinyl flooring that was at least 50 years old. This stuff works great and helped me get off off 98% of the stuck-on glue residue. I was able to complete this in a weekend and have new floors put down. I highly recommend this because it worked so well.

I recently used this adhesive remover to remove adhesive from several different places in my house durring our remodel. We stripped out old flooring but the adhesive was still stuck from the previous flooring and had to be removed before the new flooring. I used the adhesive remover and it worked like a charm removing all unwanted adhesive and leave a clean smooth surface. I also had to use the adhesive remover on the shower walls because the walls had adhesive the was sticking so strong the the shower walls and the wall that it was about to rip a whole in the bathroom wall. I applied some adhesive remover waited abit and started to slowly pull it apart and it was peeling apart with ease. This product is very easy to use and help in sticky situations.

After I had most of my carpet replaced with wood flooring on my concrete slab foundation, I noticed the contactors did not clean up as well as I would have liked. Where the new wood flooring adjoined the ceramic tile in my kitchen and bathrooms, there were many “splotches” of adhesive left on my tile. Coating the areas with Klean Strip Adhesive Remover let me easily scrap off the residue with a plastic scraper, keeping my textured ceramic tile undamaged. It is not exactly as odor free as I would have liked, but overall wasn’t too bad with a little ventilation.

Followed instructions but didn’t work very weel. End up with sticky mess that won’t come off

Requires additional floor-prep or acetone to clean up. Used for floor glue under wood flooring. Takes a couple hours but may require a second treatment depending on how thick the glue is.
